The Process Leading to Instructor Certification
Objective of the System of Licensing Testing
In order to provide a stable supply of high-quality English instructors to elementary school classrooms, we license elementary English instructors according to a unified licensing standard, encourage the creation of a national system of instructor development and build a support system for elementary English education.
Applying for Licensing (Certification Applications)
Persons wishing to be licensed must complete one of the certified training courses held by a group registered with J-Shine and obtain the recommendation of that group. Because of this, we ask that you select the group from which you wish to receive training, prepare documents according to that group's licensing procedures after attending their course, and submit them to that group along with the instructor certification examination fee.
